Job Description

1. Self-contained classroom, 12:1+(3:1).
2. Develop lesson plans and assignments. 
3. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student. 
4. Provide supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. 
5. Compassionate and patient approach to working with students. 
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
7. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs. 
8. Effective classroom management and behavior intervention skills.

Job Qualifications

• NYS Full Fingerprint Background Check clearance
• Certification in Special Education Grades 1-6 (or related certification)
