Job Description

• Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success in the school environment.
• Ability to analyze data to inform work and decision-making, analyze and evaluate available data, assess student needs, and develop and implement procedures and policies to support student achievement.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of students and their families.
• Providing short-term, solution-focused counseling for personal challenges like stress, and peer conflicts.
• Assessing and assisting students during emotional crises or traumatic events.
• Connecting students and families with outside mental health professionals, social services, or community resources when necessary.

Job Qualifications

• Current NYS Certification as a School Counselor
